We therefore say that the natural domain of the functions \(y=x+2\), \(y=3x^2-7\), \(y=\sin x\) and \(y=2^x\) is the set of all real numbers, denoted by \(\mathbb\). The Codomain is actually part of the definition of the function. In mathematics, range refers to the set of all output values of a function. ![]() That is, we can substitute any \(x\)-value into the formula to obtain a unique \(y\)-value.
